Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects

In an interesting move to reach the crossover audience of video games and comic books, Marvel and EA Games have announced Marvel Nemesis: Rise of the Imperfects.

This game looks to be a 3-D fighter ala Soul Calibur, Virtua Fighter and Tekken where popular Marvel heroes such as Spider-Man and Wolverine take on new heroes created by Marvel and EA Games. These new heroes will be debuting in the upcoming mini series Imperfects, debuting in April from Marvel comics. The series will be six issues and each one will spotlight a new character. First up is Ohm, a guy with electrical powers.

This is a big risk and it might blow up in their face, but if anyone can make this game work it is the guys at EA. They are coming off a great adaptation of the Lord of the Rings movies and their Batman Begins game looks great.
